Actiontec 1520/1524 Standard Config

Setup for a Static IP Address

If you are using an Apple Macintosh or an operating system other than Microsoft Windows, then you will need to follow the instructions for hardware setup which were included in the box with your Actiontec DSL router from Qwest.

Qwest has omitted some steps following those for setting up your computer with DHCP.

After your computer has obtained an IP address via DHCP from the router, you will need to open a web browser and go to the URL: http://192.168.0.1/. This is where you will make the final configuration to the router to connect to ipHouse.

Click on "Setup/Configuration" and then on "Begin Basic Setup". Click on the "Next" button to continue...

Select "PPPoA" as the connection method. Click on the "Next" button to continue...

For the User ID and Password, enter the DSL username and password which were given to you when you signed up for your ipHouse DSL account.

Leave Static IP blank. Click on the "Next" button to continue...

Finally, click on "Save and Restart".

After the router has finished restarting, you should be online with ipHouse.
