Setup for a Routed Network
First, follow the instructions for hardware setup which were included in the box with your Actiontec DSL router from Qwest.
After your computer has obtained an IP address via DHCP from the router, you will need to open a web browser and go to the URL: http://192.168.0.1/. This is where you will make the final configuration to the router to connect to ipHouse.
Click on the "Advanced" tab, then on "DSL Settings".
Select "Obtain an IP Address Through PPPoA". Click on the "Next" button to continue...
Check the box next to "PPP auto connect" and select "VC-MUX" as the Encapsulation type.
For the User ID and Password, enter the DSL username and password which were given to you when you signed up for your ipHouse DSL account.
Click on "LAN IP Address" (in the left column).
Enter the Network Gateway address and Netmask (also given to you when you signed up for your ipHouse DSL account) as the Device IP Address and the Device LAN Netmask.
Click on the "Apply" button...
After the router has finished restarting, go to the Network Gateway address for your router in your web browser.
Click on the "Advanced" tab, then on "DHCP Settings". Make sure that the DHCP Server is turned "On".
Enter the first and last Usable IP Addresses (also given to you when you signed up for your ipHouse DSL account) as the Beginning and Ending IP Address. Enter the Netmask as the Subnet Mask.
Select "Static" for the DNS type, and enter the DNS servers "216.250.190.144" and "216.250.190.145".
Click on "NAT" (in the left column). Turn NAT "Off" for your routed configuration.
Finally, click on the "Apply" button...
After the router has finished restarting, you should be online with ipHouse.
