File Hoarding

A few weeks ago I attended the first annual Minnesota GeekFest.
Throughout the day there were discussion panels and product presentations for products emerging in the tech industry. Somewhere in the day the topic of storage was brought up. The topic was based around what we can do to continually have enough space to back up our important files.
With hard drives now allowing for more storage, we have opportunities to save more files. This topic got me thinking. Every body that I know saves files. A lot of them. Whether it is photos, word docs, or spreadsheets, we are constantly saving files. The problem is that we very seldom delete them… if ever.
If we saved items in our homes the way we save files on our computers we would be considered hoarders… Maybe someday TLC will come out with the show “Electronic Hoarders”. Those of us that are really bad with our files (uhm, me) could be featured.
Time of Year… for a Dip Recipe :)

About three years ago a friend of mine made this fabulous dip for a holiday dinner party. The dip was extraordinarily good as most dips are…they make you want to keep coming back for more. I asked for the recipe and I have been making this wonderful dip for every food related event since. It always receives rave reviews because it is quite tasty. It is also very easy to make and I would like to share the recipe, so that others can try to make it if they so choose. :)

A couple of days ago I wrote a blog post about WordCamp MSP and I mentioned that I did a presentation about finding a topic to blog about. I thought that WordCamp put up a link to our presentations on their website but, they did not. So then today when I figured out that there was no link…I decided to put one on here. I was also thinking…what do other people blog about?
I realize that I blog about things that I am into or just started getting into over the past couple weeks. I am a very much of the moment type of person and my topics follow that pretty closely. I wonder how others find topics to write about?
Anyways…here is my presentation from WordCamp MSP. It is a little bit random when it is just looked at from the slides but, it went well with the conversation at WordCamp MSP.

The snow that started early Saturday morning was a killer. I am not one for driving in general and winter driving especially but, I was going to make it to WordCamp MSP at the Best Buy Headquarters no matter what. I was not alone, there was an excellent turn out for WordCamp even though the snow was a raging beast.
Stage Makeup and Liquid Latex

I know October has passed us by and now we are dipping our toes into November but, I did have a grand October. I was able to be in costume twice in one month. First there was the Zombie Pub Crawl and then Halloween. On both occasions my makeup was fantastic and it is all thanks to liquid latex.
